About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting professional to join our team in Aztec, NM. Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable
- Enters all incoming invoices for payment
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial role
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage50 or Quickbooks)
- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
