System Assembly Technician

*   Assembles water treatment systems based on technical drawings and bill of materials.  
*   Assists in specifying components by contacting appropriate vendors at the direction of supervisor.
*   Coordinates with administrative staff to ensure all components are delivered on time.
*   Discusses errors in drawings or bill of materials with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
*   Assembles systems using hand and power tools.  Assembly may include, but not be limited to, gluing PVC pipe; fitting both PVC and steel pipe; attaching pumps, motors, vessels and other components with bolts and screws; and mounting conduit, pulling wires, and installing control panels.
*   Prepares systems for shipment by crating and packing.
*   Ensures that project is complete timely for QA and shipment. 
*  Travels to client site to assist with installation and startup.  Must be able to travel internationally.
*  Provides technical support to clients after installation and startup.
*  Ensures that tools are in safe working order and are put away in their appropriate location at the end of each day.
*  Must meet production schedule deadlines to assure timely shipping to customers.  Immediately notifies supervisor if issues arise that do not allow for timely completion.  
*  Must be able to safely and properly use common hand tools in addition to saws, drills, and other power tools and other equipment as required.  Must be computer literate.
Compensation: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
